In the Central City neighborhood of New Orleans, a tragedy unfolded on the evening of February 10, 2017, forever altering the lives of a family that had only recently reunited. Norma Perez Lino, a 37-year-old woman, was fatally struck by a stray bullet in a shooting that erupted in the area. Having recently moved to the United States from Honduras to join her husband, she was in the process of building a new life with her family.
