On November 9, 2016, a horrific act of violence claimed the life of 22-year-old Raven Simmone Veal and her unborn child in New Orleans, Louisiana. The young mother, who was nine months pregnant at the time, was shot five times and then run over twice with a vehicle. The brutal attack took place in front of her three-year-old daughter, Ra'liyah Rickmon, who was forced to witness the entire ordeal.
