On a late Saturday night in Jamestown, New York, the sound of multiple gunshots shattered the peace in the area of East Sixth Street and American Place. When the incident was over, 37-year-old Shawn Black, a male resident of Lockport, was dead. The shooting occurred around 11:25 p.m. on April 30, 2022.

Following the gunfire, Black was transported by a private vehicle, which had sustained significant damage from the gunshots, to UPMC Chautauqua. Despite the efforts of medical staff, he was ...
