In the quiet neighborhood of Ozone Park, Queens, a shocking act of violence shattered the afternoon calm on May 4, 2022. Anna Torres, a 51-year-old woman, was fatally shot in the entrance of her own home. The incident unfolded around 2:30 p.m. when a man approached her house on 109th Avenue and knocked on the door. When she answered, he opened fire, striking her in the neck and arm.
