Josefina Perez De La Rosa, a 37-year-old mother of two, was tragically shot and killed on January 2, 2021, in East Elmhurst, Queens, New York. The incident occurred in broad daylight around 3:35 p.m. near 97th Street and 34th Avenue, just a few blocks from her home. Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots and saw a man in a long white jacket walking calmly away from the scene. Despite the efforts of medics who rushed her to Elmhurst Hospital, Perez De La Rosa succumbed to her injuries.
