On April 10, 2023, at approximately 2 a.m., 18-year-old Marques Deshon Parker was fatally shot at Joe's Food Mart, located in the 4200 block of Miller Avenue in southeast Fort Worth, Texas. During the incident, Parker sustained a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. Another victim, 29-year-old Michael Charles Sansom Jr., also suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on April 12, 2023.
