Jabeon Bivins, a 24-year-old former high school basketball star from Baldwin High School, was tragically shot and killed on August 15, 2022, in Far Rockaway, Queens. The incident occurred in the courtyard of the Redfern Houses complex, where Bivins was struck in the head by gunfire from two assailants. Surveillance footage released by the NYPD shows the two gunmen, one wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and the other a red hooded sweatshirt, casually walking into the courtyard before opening fire.
