Shayma Roman, a 17-year-old high school basketball star from Brooklyn, New York, tragically lost her life on September 28, 2022. Shayma was standing with a group of friends outside her grandmother's apartment building on Eastern Parkway in Crown Heights when two men approached and opened fire.
