Jamie Liang, a 24-year-old dental student at NYU, tragically lost her life on October 13, 2021, in Brooklyn, NY. The incident occurred in the Bensonhurst neighborhood and was rooted in a love triangle involving an off-duty NYPD officer, Yvonne Wu. Wu, who had recently ended a relationship with Jenny Li, was unable to cope with the breakup and harbored intense jealousy towards Li's new relationship with Liang.
