Private First Class (PFC) Elizabeth Licera Magruder, aged 30, tragically lost her life on August 29, 2002, in Adelphi, Maryland. PFC Magruder, along with Sergeant James Arnaud, was attempting to serve a psychiatric petition at a residence on Lynmont Drive when the incident occurred. The suspect, upon being approached, retreated to a rear bedroom and opened fire with a handgun.
