In the late summer of 2006, the life of 18-year-old Eric Steven Holland was tragically cut short. On or around August 14th or 15th, the young man from Capitol Heights, Maryland, was killed by an act of gun violence. The suddenness of his death left a void in the lives of his family and friends, a pain that was palpable in the public remembrances that followed.
