In the spring of 2011, the life of 39-year-old Therin Almandus Martin was tragically cut short in Temple Hills, Maryland. On the afternoon of Friday, April 29, 2011, at approximately 3:27 p.m., Martin was shot in the 3200 block of Branch Avenue. Emergency services responded to the scene, but Martin succumbed to his injuries. A Washington, D.C. resident, his death was ruled a homicide by the Prince George's County Police Department, which promptly launched an investigation into the shooting.
