Salaam Adams, a 20-year-old man from Durham, North Carolina, was found dead on February 4, 2013, in Oxon Run Park, located in Hillcrest Heights, Maryland. His body was discovered by a passerby at around 7:30 a.m., who then notified the police. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and found Adams suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
