68 year old man shot to death for witnessing a murder In the late hours of a Friday night in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 68-year-old David Walker was found deceased behind the wheel of his Chevrolet Impala. It was September 8, 2017, and Walker had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The shooting occurred around 9:45 p.m. in the 3600 block of Seneca Street.
Earlier that same day, a double homicide had taken place on Thomas H. Delpit Drive, in close proximity to Walker's residence. The victims were Harold Anthony and Donovan Cummings.
It is believed that Walker may have witnessed this event. Authorities questioned him about the double murder just hours before he was killed.
The investigation into Walker's death led to the arrest of two suspects. In February 2020, Terrell Anthony was charged with the first-degree murder of David Walker. Another man, Dexter Collins, was also arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection with the case. However, the charges against Collins were later dismissed.
The investigation suggested that Walker was killed because he was a potential witness in the murders of Harold Anthony and Donovan Cummings. The case against Terrell Anthony is proceeding through the justice system.
