On a cold January night in 2015, the life of 22-year-old Ashanti Lynnae Ballard-Velez was tragically cut short in Parkville, Maryland. On Saturday, January 24th, she was found in the road in the 1200 block of Deanwood Road, the victim of a fatal shooting.
