Jonathan Lopez, a 24-year-old resident of Brentwood, Maryland, was tragically shot and killed on the evening of March 16, 2015, while walking along Piney Branch Road in Silver Spring. According to reports, Lopez encountered a lone light-skinned man wearing dark clothing, who had previously attempted to rob him. Despite being conscious when police arrived and being transported to a hospital in serious condition, Lopez succumbed to his injuries early the next morning.
