In the autumn of 2017, the life of 17-year-old Carl Lovely was tragically cut short in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. A student at Glen Oaks High School, the young man was on the cusp of a new chapter, with plans to attend Job Corps, a program that offers free workforce training to young adults. However, his future was stolen from him on a Thursday night in October when he was found shot to death in a park near his school.
