In the early morning hours of Sunday, January 3, 2016, the quiet of a Fort Washington, Maryland neighborhood was shattered by violence that claimed the life of 33-year-old Larry Ellis Jr. of Clinton. Prince George's County Police officers were dispatched to the 3900 block of Kilbourne Drive for a welfare check shortly before 5 a.m. Upon their arrival, they discovered Ellis outside, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
