On a warm summer morning in Baltimore, the life of 49-year-old William Johnson, a Black man, was tragically cut short. On July 10, 2016, officers responded to a call for a shooting in the 600 block of East Patapsco Avenue. Upon arrival, they found Johnson inside a residence, suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body. Despite the efforts of first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
