Aramis Ortiz, aged 44, tragically lost his life on December 11, 2020, in Madison, Virginia. The incident occurred when Ortiz was fatally shot while sitting in a vehicle near a Thrift Road home. The Madison County Sheriff's Office reported that the shooting was carried out by Ortiz's older brother, Daniel Rubio-Ortiz. The circumstances surrounding the shooting led to Daniel Rubio-Ortiz being charged with voluntary manslaughter and firing into an occupied vehicle.
