Desean Michael Chapman, a 28-year-old resident of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, was tragically shot and killed on the morning of July 27, 2016. The incident occurred in the hallway of an apartment building located on Walters Lane in District Heights, near the Penn Mar Shopping Center. According to reports, multiple gunshots were heard around 6:30 a.m., and Chapman was found with a gunshot wound to his upper body.
