On a cold afternoon in District Heights, Maryland, the life of 38-year-old Phillip Christopher Yorke was tragically cut short. On February 15, 2016, at approximately 4:45 pm, the sounds of gunfire echoed through an apartment building in the 1900 block of Rochelle Avenue. When police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Yorke inside, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he died a short time later.
