James L. Rich II, aged 52, from Chestertown, Maryland, died on December 28, 2016, following a violent altercation that led to a tragic shooting incident. Rich was involved in a domestic dispute with his girlfriend at his residence on Edmore Road. The altercation escalated when Rich's girlfriend texted her father, informing him of the physical violence and requesting police intervention.
