Shahidah Barnes, a 28-year-old woman from Baltimore, MD, tragically lost her life on April 16, 2017. Shahidah, who was 21 weeks pregnant, was shot multiple times by her husband, Deron Barnes, following an argument at a family function. After the shooting, Deron drove Shahidah to Saint Agnes Hospital, where she was left alone in a car. Despite the efforts of medical staff, both Shahidah and her unborn child could not be saved.
