On July 9, 2017, Anthony Douglas, a 23-year-old resident of Marlow Heights, Maryland, was tragically killed in a shooting incident in Suitland, Maryland. The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. in the 4600 block of Silver Hill Road. Police responded to reports of a shooting and found Douglas and another victim, 22-year-old Courtney Simms of Temple Hills, Maryland, suffering from gunshot wounds.
