Derrick Whittaker, a 27-year-old resident of Capitol Heights, Maryland, was tragically killed on January 20, 2018, in Bowie, Maryland. The incident occurred in the 1200 block of Pennypacker Lane, where Whittaker was shot in the upper body. Despite being quickly transported to a local hospital, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
