On March 31, 2018, she was found inside an apartment in the 2600 block of Loyola Southway in north Baltimore, the victim of a fatal shooting. The call came in at approximately 1:16 a.m., and when police arrived, they discovered a grim scene.
Emani was not the only victim of the violence that morning; alongside her was 21-year-old Ohigee Parker, who had also been shot.
Both Emani and Ohigee were rushed to local hospitals, but their injuries proved to be too severe.
