On February 21, 1999, Constance Wills, a 60-year-old African American woman, was murdered in her Baltimore, Maryland home. The perpetrator, Raymont Hopewell, who was a known acquaintance of Wills' family, broke into her residence and attacked her in her bedroom. Hopewell restrained Wills by tying her wrists together before subjecting her to a brutal sexual assault. He then proceeded to beat her and ultimately strangled her to death.
