In the summer of 2018, the life of a 30-year-old Black / African American woman named Kataya Nelson was tragically cut short in Baltimore, Maryland. On the evening of June 11th, at approximately 10:50 p.m., her unresponsive body was discovered in the 100 block of North Fremont Avenue. She had been fatally shot. A resident of the 2700 block of Ellicott Drive, Nelson was a mother to four children and was reportedly pregnant at the time of her death.
