Gilbert Bates Jr., a 30-year-old resident of Baltimore, Maryland, was fatally shot on April 28, 2018. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. in the 700 block of North Collington Avenue. Officers from the Eastern District responded to the scene and found Bates with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
