On the night of August 22, 2025, in the city of Baltimore, a young life was tragically cut short. Davonne Hare, a 26-year-old Black male, was in the 700 block of Druid Park Lake Drive when violence erupted. At approximately 9:34 p.m., police officers responded to reports of a shooting in the area. Upon their arrival, they discovered Hare suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical aid was rendered at the scene, and Hare was quickly transported to a nearby hospital in a
desperate attempt to save his life. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, the injuries proved to be too severe, and Davonne Hare was pronounced deceased. His death was ruled a homicide, prompting an intensive investigation by the Baltimore Police Department's Homicide detectives.
The investigation into Hare's murder continued for several weeks. Through their follow-up and detective work, investigators were able to identify a suspect in the fatal shooting. On September 7, 2025, an arrest was made in connection with the case. A 16-year-old male was taken into custody by detectives. He was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility to face legal proceedings.
Due to the serious nature of the crime, the teenage suspect has been charged as an adult. The charge brought against him is first-degree murder. The suspect is currently being held at the Baltimore Central Booking and Intake Center. The motive for the shooting has not been publicly disclosed by the authorities.
