On a late March afternoon in 2019, the life of 39-year-old Tyree Lee was tragically cut short on the streets of Baltimore. On March 27, at approximately 2:50 p.m., Lee was walking in the 4600 block of Wellington Avenue when he was confronted and shot at by a man later identified as Lorenzo Thomas. The initial assault escalated as Thomas pursued Lee into the 3900 block of Penhurst Avenue, where he fatally shot him multiple times.
