In the spring of 2005, a young Black woman's life was tragically cut short in Louisville, Kentucky. Twenty-year-old Ebony D. Jackson was a student at Jefferson Community College and a mother to a young daughter. Her life, full of promise and creativity, which included being a rapper with a hit record, came to a sudden and violent end on Saturday, May 7, 2005.
