On a rainy night in Baltimore on June 3, 2018, 24-year-old Quayvon Johnson, a male, lost his life. In the early morning hours, at approximately 2:25 a.m., police were called to the 400 block of Manse Court for a report of a man who was unresponsive. Upon their arrival, they discovered Quayvon Johnson with a stab wound to his chest. He was immediately transported to an area hospital for medical attention.
Tragically, despite the efforts of medical personnel, Johnson succumbed to his
injury and was pronounced dead at the hospital. The cause of his death was determined to be the single stab wound he sustained. The incident left his family, including his mother Chantelle Bentley, devastated and searching for answers. Hours before his death, he had been with his mother, helping his younger brother get ready for his prom.
In the years that have followed, the investigation into Quayvon Johnson's murder has remained open. Homicide detectives in Baltimore have continued to seek information from the public to help solve the case. As of late 2022, no arrests have been made, and no suspects have been publicly identified in connection with his stabbing. His mother has publicly expressed her ongoing pain and the difficulty of not knowing who is responsible for her son's death. A reward of up to $12,000 has been offered by Metro Crime Stoppers for any information that leads to the arrest and charging of a suspect. The case remains a cold case, a painful reminder of a life cut short.
