On a Sunday morning in June of 2018, the life of 20-year-old Alashia Ervin-Bethea was tragically cut short. The young woman, a resident of Chaplin Street in Southeast Washington, D.C., was discovered in a car in the 2700 block of Lorring Drive in District Heights, Maryland, just before 11 a.m. on June 10th. She had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
