In a quiet neighborhood in District Heights, Maryland, the evening of May 10, 2023, was shattered by an act of violence that claimed the life of 17-year-old Nia Johnson. A female student in the 12th grade at Oxon Hill High School, Nia was known for her love of reading, writing, and cooking. The tragic incident unfolded inside her home in the 1800 block of Tanow Place.
