Joanne Woods, a 49-year-old resident of District Heights, Maryland, tragically lost her life on April 26, 2016, in a shooting incident in Forestville. The incident occurred early in the morning when police were called to the 6500 block of Hil Mar Drive around 1:30 a.m. Joanne Woods was found outside an apartment building, suffering from a gunshot wound.
