In the pre-dawn hours of September 17, 2018, the life of 40-year-old Jye Lamont Miles, a Black male, was tragically cut short on the streets of Baltimore, Maryland. At approximately 1:23 a.m., in the unit block of North Smallwood Street, violence erupted, and Miles was struck by multiple gunshots to his torso. Emergency services rushed him to a nearby hospital, but his injuries proved to be too severe.
