In the early morning hours of March 17, 2019, a domestic dispute in a Lanham, Maryland home escalated into a fatal act of violence. Alee Calokoh, a 69-year-old Black / African American man, was shot and killed inside his residence on Alcona Street. The tranquility of the suburban neighborhood was shattered around 3 a.m. when police responded to reports of a shooting.
