On a cold winter night in Baltimore, the evening of December 30, 2019, turned tragic for three men, including 33-year-old Ronald Carroll, a Black male. Police were called to a home in the 500 block of East 43rd Street around 10 p.m. where they discovered a grim scene. Inside the residence, Carroll, along with 27-year-old Aulsyn Anderson and 33-year-old Ralston Anderson, had been shot.
Two of the men were pronounced dead at the scene, while the third was rushed to a local hospital where
he succumbed to his injuries. The initial investigation suggested a targeted attack, as there were no signs of forced entry into the home. This led then-Baltimore Police Commissioner Michael Harrison to state that the perpetrator was likely known to the victims. He assured the public that detectives were pursuing every lead and gathering as much evidence as possible.
In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, the police were working to piece together the events that led to the triple homicide. They expressed confidence that someone in the community held the key to what transpired inside the house that night. Despite the initial belief that the case could be solved with the public's help, information regarding any arrests or the identification of a suspect or suspects has not been publicly released.
