In the afternoon hours of a Thursday in Baltimore, Maryland, tragedy struck for 37-year-old Carl Gilmore. On January 19, 2023, police officers on patrol were dispatched to the 5400 block of Park Heights Avenue in the Northwest district of the city to investigate a reported shooting. Upon their arrival at approximately 4:35 p.m., they discovered Mr.
Gilmore inside a vehicle, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical services were called to the scene, and an ambulance transported him to Sinai Hospital. Despite the efforts of the medical personnel, Carl Gilmore was pronounced dead a short time after his arrival. The case was subsequently taken over by homicide investigators from the Baltimore Police Department.
In the days that followed, the police identified the victim as Carl Gilmore. Authorities have urged anyone with information regarding the shooting to come forward and contact the detectives in charge of the investigation or to leave an anonymous tip with Metro Crime Stoppers. To date, no information about any arrests or identified suspects in the fatal shooting of Carl Gilmore has been publicly released as the investigation remains ongoing.
