In the early moments of May 14, 2020, gunshots shattered the midnight quiet in the 100 block of Violet Hill Avenue in Baltimore, Maryland, leaving 26-year-old Ronald Lewis, a Black male, fatally wounded. Responding officers found Lewis on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, he succumbed to his injuries. Lewis, a resident of the 3600 block of W. Belvedere Avenue, was pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting.
