In the morning hours of an early autumn day in Baltimore, Marcus Xavier Parks Sr., a 51-year-old man, was at the helm of his MTA bus, a job he had held for two decades. On October 8, 2020, his familiar route took a tragic and unforeseen turn. An argument erupted when a man attempted to board the bus at a time when passengers were not being allowed on. The situation escalated quickly when the man, accompanied by a woman, snatched Mr. Parks' bag.
