Summary based on 4 sources
Ninmark Pearson III, 45, was stabbed to death on Saturday, August 26, 2023, in the 4400 block of Kenilworth Avenue in Northeast Baltimore. The Baltimore Police Department investigated, and the Baltimore Sun's homicide database lists his death as a homicide.

According to a police account reported by the Baltimore Witness, officers were sent to the 4400 block of Kenilworth Avenue at about 12:02 p.m. that Saturday "to investigate a call for a cutting." When they arrived, they "observed 45-year-old Ninmark Pearson unresponsive suffering from numerous life-threatening stab wounds." Medics pronounced him dead at the scene, and homicide detectives took over the investigation. The Baltimore Sun reported his death, without his name at first, in a roundup of four people killed in separate shootings and stabbings across the city that day. Police identified him to Fox45 several days later. Detectives asked anyone with information to contact them.

Police did not say whether he was found on the street, in a yard or inside a home, whether he lived nearby, or what led to the attack. They did not describe a suspect, an argument or a robbery, and they did not say whether anyone saw the stabbing. Because it happened around midday on a Saturday, it is possible that people were outside on the block at the time, though the record does not say so. A list of the year's homicides kept by a longtime Baltimore crime tracker noted that the killing took place inside a Safe Streets catchment area, one of the zones where the city's violence interruption program works, and gave his age as 37 rather than the 45 police reported. No follow up report on the investigation could be found.

A funeral home notice says that "Mr. Ninmark Pearson, III departed this earthly life on Saturday, August 26th, 2023 in Baltimore, Maryland." The "III" in his name suggests that he was named for his father and grandfather. Beyond that notice, little about his life has been made public, and no news outlet appears to have spoken with his family. His name was read with the city's other homicide victims on WYPR and printed in the Catholic Review, which asked readers to pray for each victim by name.

The 4400 block of Kenilworth Avenue lies in the police department's Northeast District, an area of the city made up largely of residential streets. The Baltimore Witness described the case as a fatal stabbing in the Northeast District.

Homicides in Baltimore began falling steeply in 2023 and 2024, reaching the lowest totals in decades, yet many killings from those years remain unsolved.

No arrest, criminal charge or court case connected to the death of Ninmark Pearson could be found in news archives or public records. More than three years later, there is no public sign that anyone has been held responsible. Anyone who was on or near the 4400 block of Kenilworth Avenue around midday on August 26, 2023, or who knew of a dispute involving Ninmark Pearson that summer, may be able to help. Even a small detail, such as a name overheard, a vehicle seen nearby or a conversation remembered, can help detectives move a case forward.
