On February 1, 2024, at approximately 10:51 p.m., Baltimore Police Department officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 5200 block of Saybrook Avenue. Upon arrival, they found 46-year-old Charles Banks suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Despite being transported to a nearby hospital and receiving medical attention, Banks was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
