In the late hours of a Thursday evening in Baltimore, tragedy struck the 5200 block of Saybrook Avenue. On February 1, 2024, at approximately 10:51 p.m., police responded to a call for a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered 46-year-old Charles Banks, a male, suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.
Emergency medical services were dispatched to the scene and quickly transported Banks to a nearby hospital.
Despite the urgent medical attention and life-saving efforts of the hospital staff, Charles Banks succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The cause of his death was officially attributed to gun violence.
Following the incident, homicide detectives from the Baltimore Police Department took control of the investigation. At this time, the investigation into the murder of Charles Banks remains open and active. Law enforcement officials have not publicly identified any suspects in connection with the shooting, and no arrests have been made.
