On a Sunday afternoon in West Baltimore, the life of Lamont Clifton Compton Randall, a 27-year-old male, was abruptly ended. Around noon on October 11, 2020, Randall was shot in the 600 block of Cumberland Street. The fatal shooting added to the city's troubling statistics of violent crime.
The Baltimore Police Department's investigation into the homicide led them to a suspect, also 27 years old, named Timothy Horsey.
A breakthrough in the case came on December 9, 2020, when members of the Warrant Apprehension Task Force located and apprehended Horsey in East Cleveland, Ohio.
Following his arrest, Horsey was charged with first-degree murder in connection with Randall's death. He was subsequently transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was held without bail as legal proceedings against him commenced.
