In the quiet suburbs of District Heights, Maryland, the life of 24-year-old Markelle Morrow, known to many as the rapper Goonew, was tragically cut short on the evening of Friday, March 18, 2022. Morrow was in a parking lot on Walters Lane when he was fatally shot. Emergency services responded to the scene around 5:40 p.m. and transported him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
