On the evening of April 7, 2022, a burst of gunfire echoed through an East Baltimore neighborhood, tragically ending the life of 20-year-old Jerric Michie. That Thursday, at approximately 7:30 p.m., a ShotSpotter alert drew Baltimore Police Department officers to the 600 block of North Milton Street. There, they found Michie suffering from numerous gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Johns Hopkins Hospital but was pronounced deceased shortly after his arrival.
