Davonte Robinson, a 26-year-old man from Baltimore, Maryland, was tragically killed on January 19, 2019. Robinson's death is deeply intertwined with a cycle of violence that began with his own shooting in 2016. On a summer afternoon in 2016, Robinson was walking near Gilmor Homes when he was shot by Fred Catchings, who jumped out of a black SUV and opened fire. Robinson survived the shooting, but it set off a chain of retaliatory violence that eventually led to the death of rapper Lor Scoota.
