The young man was discovered in a parking lot on the 200 block of Harry S. Truman Drive in Largo, a community in the vicinity of Upper Marlboro. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene by responding Prince George's County Police officers.
Myles, remembered by his family as a lover of baseball and music who brought life to
every gathering, had dreams of completing his college education and pursuing a career as an entertainer. He had left his home with friends on the night of his death, a departure that would become a final farewell. His parents, Tameiko and Vincent Prentice, have been plunged into a profound and lasting grief, mourning the loss of their youngest child.
The investigation into the shooting was immediately launched by the Prince George's County Police Department's Homicide Unit.
